Man hurt on Pirates of Caribbean ride at Disney

Rider lost tips of 2 fingers, Reedy Creek Fire says

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Pirates of the Caribbean ride at Magic Kingdom has been reopened after a man was injured on the ride on Thursday morning.

Bo Jones of the Reedy Creek Fire Department said the victim was an adult male from the United Kingdom who lost the tip of his ring and pinky finger on his right hand.

The victim was taken to a local hospital.

Disney officials said the ride was checked and confirmed safe.

Officials are still going over incident reports and said they it's not clear how the man's fingers were injured.
