Man shot, killed in courtyard of Orlando condo complex

Deputies say 4 shootings have now occurred at Blossom Park this year

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 23-year-old man died Thursday morning after being shot in a courtyard at an Orange County condo complex, according to officials.

Orange County deputies said Jose Pomales-Santiago died in the shooting, which happened at the Blossom Park condos on Landstreet Road, just south of the Florida Mall in Orlando.

Deputies said they were called to the condos and encountered a vehicle in which Pomales-Santiago was placed to take him to a hospital.

An ambulance took him to Hunter's Creek ER, and he was later pronounced dead, Orange County deputies said.

Officials said they don't have any suspects but continue to investigate.

The incident marks the fourth shooting at the complex this year.

In May, a man was shot and killed in the parking lot of the complex.  No arrests have been made in the case.

In February, a woman was caught in the crossfire of an argument between her husband and another man.

And in January, a man was shot in the upper body.  No arrests have been made in the case.

Anyone with information about any of the shootings is urged to call the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
