DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Newly released video showed a customer at Lollipops Gentlemen's Club getting lap dances after he claimed it never happened and got beaten up and robbed after not paying for it or refusing to leave.
"I got beat up and jumped and my gold necklace and my bracelet, and my cash was taken from me," said Thomas Volz in a 911 phone call.
Volz told police he got attacked for refusing to pay $200 for lap dances he never received. But, Lollipop's attorney, Brett Hartley said footage just moments before the fighting showed Volz was the one who was lying.
"In reviewing the videos from inside the club, we discovered that indeed the bouncers testimony was truthful. He went back for over 20 dances with this girl, then came back out, refusing to pay," said Hartley.
Hartley also said the so-called friendly conversation between the dancer and Volz was them arguing over payment and that's when security stepped in and took over.
"When you have someone threatening your life, family's life, spits in your face, people are human and he probably lost his temper. It's not something the club condones, it's reality of life," said Hartley.
As for Volz who claimed the bouncers stole his gold jewelry, Hartley said the bouncer accidentally ripped off his chain to get him to stand up, but that's about it.
"Him being robbed didn't take place in the club. It took place outside of the club. He was handed back his items," said Hartley.
However, police said Volz never got his jewelry back and whether he paid or didn't pay for a lap dance, doesn't give a person the right to put their hands on someone.
Hartley said he's going to make sure the State Attorney's Office has all the video footage before making a decision. Hartley believes that some people got arrested that night, that should have never been in trouble in the first place.
Local 6 called Volz for a comment, but have not heard back as of Tuesday night.
