David Hall joins Local 6 morning news team

ORLANDO, Fla. – WKMG Local 6 is pleased to announce that David Hall will be joining the Local 6 morning news team.

David will co-anchor The Morning News on Local 6 with Bridgett Ellison weekday mornings from 5 to 7 a.m.

"I am very much looking forward to calling Florida my new home and to becoming a part of this team and community," David said.

David comes to Local 6 from KMBC-TV in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served as a weekend anchor and reporter.

"The morning newscast is as important to us here at Local 6 as it is to our community," said Skip Valet, vice president and general manager of Local 6.  "We searched long and hard for the right person to join our team.  I am confident that we found that person in David Hall. He is a smart, strong journalist who enjoys communicating with viewers and he is excited get to work in our community. Central Florida will look forward to waking up with David, Bridgett, meteorologist Troy Bridges and traffic anchor Jessica Sanchez."

David is from Virginia and has worked as a reporter in Savannah, Pittsburgh and Secaucus, New Jersey.  He also worked in Philadelphia, providing color commentary for the Philadelphia Phoenix. 

David will start on air sometime after June 30.
