How to find best Cyber Monday deals

Expert says eBay may offer good savings

ORLANDO, Fla. – There is a method to the madness of Cyber Monday.

Just ask Kyle James of rather-be-shopping.com.

"Take those old Black Friday ads that came out a few days ago, and use those as your benchmark. A lot of those deals are going to be available on Cyber Monday as well," he said.

But time is of the essence. The deals that are steals go fast, so don't wait to log on and start searching.

"A lot of the deals are going to be limited, so you definitely want to shop as early as you can on Cyber Monday to take advantage of the savings," James said.

One benefit of Cyber Monday is you can quickly compare prices.  If you are looking for that flat-screen TV, pull up a few browsers with different stores and see who has it cheaper.

And don't forget to add in shipping costs. Keep in mind that roughly 50 retailers, including Target, are offering free shipping with no minimum required.

You also want to check out eBay on Cyber Monday, James said.

"I was looking for an external hard drive -- it was a $75 hard drive -- (and) the Black Friday deal was $40. I went on Ebay and got it for just under 50," James said.

Another tip: If you can't find a coupon, check with an online chat operator for coupon codes or free shipping coupons. Many times, all you have to do is ask and you will save.

Here are some of the best deals you will find today: Check out Walmart for gaming systems like Xbox One or PS4, while Best Buy, Target and Amazon are best for electronics, laptops for TVs for less than $300.

According to Deal News, a site that gathers the best daily deals, cameras and toys will be a bargain on Monday. And the site claims you will find the deepest discounts on clothing, shoes and beauty products on Cyber Monday.

For clothing, both Macys and Old Navy are a win-win.

The biggest plus for many on Cyber Monday means no crowds and not searching for parking.

"People are shopping from home. Convenience is so awesome (and you can) end up with deals better than Black Friday," James said.

Make sure you "like" stores you plan to shop at on social media, too. Stores will often post exclusive content and exclusive deals on social media feeds.
