Gunman in Orange County shooting near bus stop identified

ORLANDO, Fla. – A 16-year-old boy wanted in connection to a shooting that killed a 21-year-old man near a bus stop as students got off a school bus has been identified.

The Orlando Police Department said detectives are searching for Favian Rivera, 16, in connection with the fatal shooting that happened Thursday afternoon at Blossom Corner Apartments.

Orlando police identified the victim Friday as Hector Yadier Jorge-Pabon.

A man told Local 6 that his daughter got off of the bus and saw the victim being chased down, shot and killed. The gunmen ran off, he said.

"This neighborhood is usually quiet. I've been here for a year and nothing, nothing like this ever happens here, so it's really shocking as a parent to see your daughter going through something like this," said Angel Rodriguez, whose daughter witnessed the shooting.

Anyone who knows Rivera's whereabouts is asked to call the Orlando Police Department at 321-235-5300.
