Former Miami Dolphins player survives 9 hours in ocean
Robert Konrad swims to shore after falling into water
PALM BEACH, Fla. – A former Miami Dolphins football player is recovering after spending at least nine hours alone in the waters off Palm Beach.
According to the U.S. Coast Guard, former Dolphins fullback Robert Konrad was fishing alone when he fell overboard, nine miles offshore.
To make matters worse, his boat was on autopilot and drifted away after he fell in.
Konrad than swam for about 10 hours to get back to shore. He was said to be exhausted, but otherwise unharmed.
