Video shows elderly man speeding through car wash

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A close call at at California car wash was caught on camera.

Quick Quack Car Wash manager Mitch Shiveley says a 94-year-old man paid for a car wash, but then something went wrong.

The car sped through the car wash at 40 mph before slamming into the vacuum area on the other side.

According to workers, the driver was unable to take his foot off the pedal.

Damages were estimated at close to $100,000, but no one was injured.
