Video shows hockey player clotheslining himself

Incident happens after player ejected from game

ALPENA, Mich. – A hockey player's frustrations got the better of him -- in a painful way.

Mitchell Skiba, of the Alpena Flyers, was ejected from Sunday's Midwest Junior Hockey League game against the Motor City Monarchs after making a vicious check.

While he was exiting the ice, he smacked his stick on the boards and it got caught in the doorway, causing him to clothesline himself.

Skiba was not assessed an additional penalty for high sticking himself.
