MELBOURNE, Fla. – Police on Wednesday released more video and information on the motive for the fatal shooting at Melbourne Mall.

According to a release, investigators believe the motive for Jose Garcia-Rodriguez wounding his wife and killing a pizza shop owner before turning the gun on himself were ongoing marital issues.

Police said Ida Garcia-Rodriguez is out of the hospital and continues to cooperate with investigators.

According to Ida Garcia-Rodriguez, the couple had been having marital issues for six months. Witnesses told police that Jose Garcia-Rodriguez was "very jealous" and controlling.

Police said Ida Garcia-Rodriguez may have told her husband their relationship was over and discussed divorce before leaving for work the day of the shooting.

No inappropriate relationships were found involving Ida Garcia-Rodriguez.

After the shooting, paramedics rushed the pizza shop owner, Leonardo Coppola, to the hospital where he later died.

Police said Coppola was trying to protect  Ida Garcia-Rodriguez, from the gunfire.

According to investigators, Garcia-Rodriguez was armed with three handguns and had pockets full of ammunition.
