Facebook video leads to arrest of Florida woman accused of beating kids with drumstick Child welfare officials say no food, running water found at Daytona Beach home
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A video posted on Facebook led to the arrest of a Daytona Beach mother accused of beating her two young children with a wooden drumstick.
Angel Bernard remained jailed Wednesday on charges of aggravated child abuse.
Police say the video shows Bernard hitting her 1-year-old and 3-year-old children several times and mocking them as they cried.
The Florida Department of Children and Families went to Bernard's home and found clothing and bedding covered in bugs, with no food or running water, according to authorities.
Bernard was arrested and taken to the Volusia County jail.
