Planes collide on runway at Daytona Beach International Airport

Aircraft damaged; no one injured

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Two airplanes collided Thursday morning at Daytona Beach International Airport, damaging both aircraft, officials said.

The Cessna 172 planes, each carrying two people, crashed around 10:40 a.m. as the aircraft were taxiing, airport officials said.

One airplane was from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and the other was registered to Phoenix East Aviation.

No one was injured.

There were no delays at the airport because of the incident, officials said.
