OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla. – The Twin Oaks Conservation Area has been closed indefinitely after vandals struck the 399-acre facility off Macy Island Road this week, county officials announced Friday.

Named after two large century-old live oaks, the property includes trails, camping sites, a canoe and kayak launch, a fishing pier and a wildlife observation deck.

Twin Oaks opened in October 2013. Officials said it gained a reputation for its sunset views of Lake Tohopekaliga.

The area will reopen once an investigation is complete and repairs are made, officials said.
