GROVELAND, Fla. – A woman is in custody and being questioned after police say she allegedly shot her husband inside the couple's Lake County home.
Goveland police were called to the house on Osprey Cove Circle late Monday night after the victim went to a neighbor saying he had been stabbed.
Police arrived and say they instead found the man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to Orlando Regional Medical Center with what police say are non-life threatening injuries.
Investigators say the victim's wife left the home for several hours before returning and being taken into custody. Police say she is being questioned but has not yet been charged with any crime.
Two children, a 5-year-old and 9-year-old were inside the home at the time. Police say they don't know if they witnessed the shooting. The Department of Children And Families has been called in to evaluate the children.
