Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer and transportation officials celebrated the completion of the historic Orlando Amtrak station renovation on Monday.
According to a release, the restored station, located at 1400 Sligh Blvd., was restored and also improved accessibility to the station for residents. The renovation increased connectivity with the new SunRail stop.

Built in 1926, the Amtrak station serves approximately 160,500 passengers a year.
Dyer, District 4 City Commissioner Patty Sheehan, the Florida Department of Transportation, Orlando Health and Amtrak were at the celebration.
