Man robbed elderly customer at Walgreens, Kissimmee police say

UPDATE: New photos of suspect found

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Kissimmee police are searching for a man who they say robbed an elderly man waiting in line at Walgreens.

The robbery was reported at the store on West Vine Street on Thursday afternoon.

Police said the culprit stood behind the victim in line and grabbed money from his hand as he was paying for merchandise.

The man was last seen running out of the store and driving off in a white four-door sedan, believed to be a Nissan Sentra with dark-tinted windows and a sunroof, according to the report.

Police described the culprit as a black man in his early 30s, 6 feet 6 inches tall with a short beard.

Officers said an employee from the BB&T close to the Walgreens noticed a man acting suspiciously the same day as the Walgreens incident. The employee saw the news reports and contacted detectives. Better photos were obtained from the bank's surveillance cameras.

Contact police at 407-846-3333 or Crimeline at 1-800-423-TIPS if you have any information on the robbery.
