Travis Thomas accused of shooting teen in the back

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach police have arrested a man they say shot a teenager in the back over the weekend at a block party.

27-year-old Travis Thomas was arrested on aggravated battery charges on Tuesday in the shooting at a block party at Oak and Adams streets.

The victim's family called police on Monday after they say they saw Thomas go into a nearby home.

A SWAT team went to the house, but later discovered Thomas was not at the home.

He was booked into jail on no bond.
