Downtown Orlando's old Merita Bread Factory demolished
ORLANDO, Fla. – Workers started to tear down the old Merita Bread Factory in downtown Orlando on Wednesday.
Plans are to turn the old factory on Division Avenue, which was bought out in 2012 and shut down, into a truck dealership.
The iconic Merita Bread sign was taken down last year and donated to the Morse Museum in Winter Park.
