ORLANDO, Fla. – Universal Orlando is expanding its value resort, Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
The 60's-themed lodge opened last year with 1,800 rooms and suites.
The expansion will include two more towers of hotel rooms that will add 400 more rooms by 2017.
Many of the rooms are expected to overlook Universal's newly announced Volcano Bay water park, which is being built right next to Cabana Bay Beach Resort.
The water park is also due to open in 2017.
Next year, Universal and its partner, Loews, also plan to add another 1,000 hotel rooms, with a fifth resort, Sapphire Falls.
It will be built next to the Royal Pacific Resort.
