Lake Brantley Patriots top Boone Braves

38-26

ORLANDO, Fla. – The Lake Brantley Patriots made a statement on their opening drive of the 2015 season against the Boone Braves: their running game is alive and well. Brantley's first four plays were hand offs to Tim Marinan.

The senior running back lowered his shoulder and plowed into the endzone from 5 yards out on his final carry of the series, setting the tone of a 38-26 Lake Brantley victory. Trailing 14-0, Boone's Thomas Verzi scored his team's first touchdown of the season on a spectacular quarterback keep that went for over 50 yards. However, the Braves could never catch.

Lake Brantley hosts Titusville in Week 2 while Boone visits Wekiva.
