Jose Ismael Torres, who Volusia County sheriff's deputies say is a convicted felon on probation until 2021, was arrested on charges of attempted murder, shooting into an occupied vehicle, armed trafficking in cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, attempt to solicit or conspire to commit a life felony, two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two probation violations.

Torres was found hiding Monday in a motel room in Volusia County, sheriff's investigators said.

He was initially arrested in a Sunday night shooting at the Landing Condominiums in Altamonte Springs.  The motive in the shooting has not been released.

The victim, Marco Pierre, described the shooting to News 6 after returning home from the hospital.

"I got shot, like, two times in both of my legs. I can't even move them, man. But it's all good, you know," Pierre said. "I don't know how many times I got shot. They don't know how many times I got shot."

Pierre said when he ran inside looking for safety, he was shot again when bullets flew through his door.

"Shot me in my legs over some nonsense. I'm not really going to say too much about it until I speak to my lawyer," he said.

Pierre was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center in stable condition and was later released.

Torres was also linked to a weekend road rage shooting off Interstate 4 in Volusia County, which occurred near the motel where he was found hiding.

Deputies said Torres shot a man during an argument after Torres cut off another driver in traffic.  The man was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Volusia deputies said a loaded gun, a bag containing 41 grams of cocaine and a digital scale with a small amount of marijuana on it were found in Torres' motel room.

He is being held without bond in the Volusia County Jail.
