Chocolate covered potato chips debut at Publix Super Markets

Publix Super Markets are introducing a new sweet and salty treat to the snack food isle.

Grimaldi Candy Co.'s chocolate covered potato chips are going main stream on Thursday, according to News 6 partner FLORIDA TODAY.

All 1,103 Publix locations will be selling the famous treats for $10 a box. Each box is 7.5 ounces and consist of half milk chocolate chips and half dark chocolate chips.  

"It's huge, it's absolutely huge," Jim Frazier, president of the Rockledge-based Grimaldi, said of the deal with Publix.

"Grimaldi is becoming one of the top tier gourmet chocolate manufactures in the United States and we are planning on doubling the size of the company next year," Frazier said.
