Bojangles' restaurants close in Central Florida

Company says franchise owner decided to leave restaurant business

News 6 has learned one fast food chain has shut down all its Central Florida locations suddenly.

Eight Bojangles' restaurants in the Central Florida area are closed as of Monday after the company says the person who owned the locations decided to leave the restaurant business all together.

News 6 went by a St. Cloud restaurant overnight and found the building locked up with an advertisement to sell the equipment inside.

With the shutdown, it means dozens of workers are now out of a job weeks before Christmas. On the Facebook page for the Casselberry restaurant, the general manager posted, "Yes I was the General Manager at this location with three small kids. They didn't care. Now my kids will get no gifts and I have no job ..."

Many are taking to social media furious about the closings. Some have started the hashtag on Twitter, "Save Central Florida Bojangles.'"
