ORLANDO, Fla. – Security officials are stepping up efforts for the Russell Athletic Bowl game in Orlando at the Citrus Bowl.
Officials with the city of Orlando said after extensive renovations, the stadium will be on display to more than 100,000 fans during the next few days.

"Everyone loves this, it's what we work for," said Craig Borkon with Orlando Venues. "We love these games here at the stadium, especially now being the brand new stadium. We hosted the bowl games last year, but not everything was open last year, so this year we will have a full stadium open."
A parade to welcome fans starts in downtown Winter Park at 11 a.m. Tuesday.
Two bowls games this week also means thousands of tourists spending money at nearby businesses.
"We actually -- me and my service manager, Kate -- we staffed up pretty beefy for what we normally do," said Casey Sparks, the general manager of nearby Graffiti Junction. "(We) hired a couple extra servers and bartenders, and, like I said, we have bar backs when we don't normally."
Once fans leave the stadium after the Russell Athletic Bowl, crews head into overdrive working nonstop to prepare for the Citrus Bowl.
"Right after the games over, we will start cleaning all the stands with our cleaning company," Borkon said. "We will start scrubbing the field, getting all the logos from the Russell athletic bowl off the field, and then as soon as all that's scrubbed off the field, we will start putting down the paint for the Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl."
Stadium officials said they are working closely with the FBI, Homeland Security and local law enforcement to make sure everyone stays safe.
"At this time, are no specific threats for the bowl games that we know of, but we are constantly talking with everyone, communicating with everyone," said Borkon.
Items such as selfie sticks, and even umbrellas in case it rains, will not be allowed into the stadium.
The Orlando Police Department reminds people to check their tickets for a list of prohibited items, and to also report any suspicious activity right away.
After the Citrus Bowl, crews then have less than 24 hours to prepare the stadium for the Under Armour High School All-Star Game, which is expected to bring in another 20,000 fans.
Orlando is the only city in the country to host three bowl games after the CURE Bowl made its debut on Dec. 19.
