Trump, who announced he was running for the GOP bid in June, has been a candidate with much controversy.

The businessman made a campaign stop in Tampa on Monday after a weekend of interruptions in Chicago and Ohio.

“He has turned the most important election in a generation into a circus, into a complete fiasco and a carnival,” Florida Sen. Marco Rubio told Jake Tapper on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

With interruptions aside, the front-runner continued to lead the polls in Florida.

Before Tuesday’s primaries, a poll showed Trump leading Rubio 46 percent to 22 percent.

The front-runner, who spoke to an audience at the University of Central Florida on March 5, told supporters, “If we win Florida, I believe it’s over."

Trump told supporters that if elected president, he will create jobs, protect the country’s borders, get rid of Common Core and repeal President Obama's health care policy.

Trump said he is the man to unite America.

“There has never been a greater division just about than what we have right now. The hatred, the animosity,” Trump said. “I will bring people together. I’m going to bring people together, you watch.”
