Jury finds doctor accused of upskirt pics guilty of attempted video voyeurism

Cops: Dr. Akram Ismail took photos, video up women's skirts at Groveland Publix

GROVELAND, Fla. – The jury found on Wednesday a doctor accused of taking pictures or video up women's skirts at a Publix guilty of attempted video voyeurism.

Dr. Akram Ismail was charged with video voyeurism in the July 2015 incident at a Groveland Publix.

Ismail's trial started on Monday, and the jury started deliberating on Wednesday. A judge sentenced Ismail to four months in Lake County jail and eight months probation.

The charges led Ismail to withdraw from practice, according to Florida Department of Health records.
