Teacher shows appreciation for students, school saving her life
All week long, schools across the national are thanking their teachers but Tuesday is designated as Teacher Appreciation Day.
One Volusia County teacher wants to show appreciation for the students and school for saving her life.
A collaborative work between the Future Problem Solvers and a school mentor who is a cancer survivor started making the Compassion in Action T-shirts after a school group called the Future Problem Solvers was brainstorming a way to spread awareness and show support for all cancer survivors.
To purchase a $10 "Compassion In Action" T-shirt call 386 -575-4230 or stop by DeBary Elementary School, 88 W. Highbanks Road. Sizes range from youth small to 5XL.
