Volusia mom arrested on drunken driving charges with kids in car Woman was heading to beach for Mother's Day weekend, cops say
A Mother's Day weekend trip to the beach ended up with 27-year-old Kate Huggins behind bars.
A retired corrections officer told deputies he saw the mother Saturday night driving the wrong way on U.S. 1 near Fullerton Grove Road, when she suddenly stopped her SUV.
