Deputies: Early morning burglaries, 2 suspects arrested

NEW SMYRNA BEACH, Fla. – A collaborative effort between the Volusia County Sheriff's Office and the New Smyrna Beach Police, has resulted in the apprehension of two burglary suspects.

The New Smyrna Beach Police Department said that they responded, along with the Volusia County Sheriff's Office deputies, to multiple reports of early morning burglaries Thursday.

A good description of two male suspects and a direction that they were heading, provided by an alert citizen, proved key to responding officers subsequently locating and apprehending the two men, deputies said.

One of the suspects has been identified as Arrington Hudson, 18, who was arrested on 14 different charges and is being held at the Volusia County Branch Jail with a $25,000 bond.  The second person arrested is a juvenile, who was transported to the Department of Juvenile Justice.
