Friends and family gather to remember Cory James Connell

ORLANDO, Fla. –

Family and friends will gather on Thursday evening to remember Cory James Connell.

Connell, 21, was one of the 49 people shot and killed at the Pulse nightclub shooting on June 12.

The memorial will be held at the College Park Publix on 2015 Edgewater Drive in Orlando, Florida.

He worked at Publix as a stocker and was studying sports journalism and broadcasting at Valencia Community College, according to his Facebook page.
