Boy groped 3 times in Disney resort pool, deputies say

OCSO sex crimes unit investigates case at Pop Century Resort

LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. – A 7-year-old boy said a man grabbed him three times Sunday night while swimming in a pool at a Walt Disney World resort, according to authorities.

The alleged incident was reported around 9:40 p.m. at Disney's Pop Century Resort in Lake Buena Vista.

According to an Orange County Sheriff's Office incident report, the boy and his parents told deputies that a man believed to be 30 to 40 years old grabbed the boy's buttocks.

The boy told the Sheriff’s Office that he told the adult male to stop and leave him alone after his buttocks were touched the first time, the report said.

The man continued to touch the boy an additional two times, and he swam away and got out of the pool immediately and informed his dad about what happened in the pool.

The father confronted the suspect, and when questioned, the suspect said, “Please, I didn’t do anything, I’m 14U Wisconsin baseball coach!”

Disney referred all questions from News 6 to law enforcement.

The Sheriff's Office said it is investigating the sex crime, but no other details, including whether the man was arrested, have been released.
