Search underway for teenager after shooting in Sanford 17-year-old boy brandishes, fires weapon, police say
SANFORD, Fla. – Police are investigating a shooting involving two teenagers Thursday night in Sanford.
Police said a 17-year-old boy was arguing with a 16-year-old girl in the 2200 block of Hartwell Avenue when he brandished a firearm and shot at her and some other people.
A bullet hit a house and fragments hit the teenage girl's arm, police said. She was taken to a hospital.
The 17-year-old boy fled afterward. Police said a search was underway for the teen shooter, who hasn't been identified.
