The firm received three incidents that involved children who suffered from mouth lacerations after drinking from Starbucks straws.
The straws were sold as a component of two sizes of stainless steel beverage cups: Grande 16-ounce cups and Venti 24-ounce cups.
Starbucks now discourage consumers from allowing young children to handle or use stainless steel straws.
