Former boy band producer, manager Lou Pearlman dies, reports say
Pearlman was producer, manager of Backstreet Boys, NSYNC
A man who was producer and manager of the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC has died, Billboard is reporting.
Pearlman was convicted in 2009 of masterminding a half-billion-dollar Ponzi scheme, Billboard said.
"Word is that #LouPearlman has passed away," former NSYNC member Lance Bass said on Twitter. "He might not have been a stand up businessman, but I wouldn't be doing what I love today (without) his influence. RIP Lou."
