The Sanford Police Department said it was contacted about a sexual battery that occurred Saturday morning. The victim reported that she was asleep in the bedroom of her home when she was awakened by knife-wielding man wearing a teal-colored hooded sweatshirt, latex gloves and a black mask covering his nose and mouth, according to police.

The man raped the woman, who told authorities that she believed the man was Corbett, a distant acquaintance who previously made unwanted advances toward her, police said.
