Weight Watchers has voluntarily recalled a popular dessert and 4C Food Corp has recalled their grated cheeses this week, according to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration.
Weight Watchers Smart Ones Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Sundae frozen desserts is voluntarily being recalled because of possible listeria monocytogenes contamination from Aspen Hills, Inc. Cookie Dough Pieces, according to Weight Watchers.

Listeria monocytogenes is a bacteria that can cause series infections in young children or the elderly, the FDA said.
The recall is for about 100,0000 cases of the Weight Watchers dessert.
Cheese maker, 4C Food Corp. is voluntarily recalling four types of grated cheese because of a possible contamination with salmonella.
Salmonella is an organism that can cause serious infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. Symptoms insure fever, diarrheas, nausea and vomiting.
The recall of a nationwide distribution includes products that were packed into 6 ounce jars with expiration dates of Nov. 12, 2016, through Nov. 12, 2018. The product was packaged in cased of either 6 or 12 jars.
Consumers are asked to return the product for a full refund.
