New info released in search for 4 missing Marion County children

Deputies say mother of children likely driving tan Ford Taurus

MICANOPY, Fla. – The search continues for 15-year-old Aryanna Nidia Robles-Nieves and her three younger siblings. Deputies say they've been missing since Nov. 17, and are supposed to be in the custody of Department of Children and Families.

Deputies said Aryanna Nidia Robles-Nieves and her three siblings -- Aubriella Dieffenbacher-Nieves, 5; Totty Dieffenbacher-Nieves, 3; and Malachi Dieffenbacher-Nieves, 2 -- are in the custody of their parents, Joyce Nieves and James Dieffenbacher.

"The four children are with their parents currently and we're looking for them right now because a judge has ordered a pick-up issue," Sheriff's Office Spokesman Lauren Lettelier said. "DCF has found they are not living in sufficient enough conditions and they are not being cared for properly by their parents at this point in time."

Lettelier said the children are not in any immediate danger, but authorities are concerned because their parents are doing whatever they can do to avoid deputies. She said they've moved from their house in Micanopy and aren't answering their cellphones. Nieves also deleted her Facebook page.

"There is some history with the parents and these children and the Department of Children and Families. DCF actually took these children away from them earlier in the year, and through the court system, they were given back," Lettelier said.

She said the parents also have a history of drugs, domestic violence, and living in hazardous conditions.

The family is believed to be traveling in a Tan Ford Taurus with the Florida tag 2377BM or a 1999 Dodge four door pickup truck with the Florida tag GMAK91.

Anyone with information can call the Marion County Sheriff's Office or 911.
