DeLAND, Fla. – A hard landing injured a skydiver Friday morning in DeLand, according to city officials.
Nikolay V. Likachev, 40, of Russia, was taken to Halifax Health Medical Center. The extent of his injuries is not known.
Officials said his parachute deployed when he landed at DeLand Municipal Airport shortly before 9:15 a.m., but the hard landing left him injured.
