WINTER GARDEN, Fla. – An argument at a block party in Winter Garden early Saturday led to a shooting that injured three people, police said.
Several people got into an argument around 2:10 a.m. while at a gathering at the corner of Bay Street and Bethune Avenue, officers said.
Police said half of the people involved in the argument walked away toward a house on the 600 block of Bethune Avenue. The other half followed until someone shot at an individual in a crowd of people, officers said.
Three people were injured by gunfire, police said. Donald Rodgers, 24, was treated and released from the hospital the same day as the incident; Jonathan Hightower, 22, was in stable condition and Dante Horne, 28, was in critical condition.
Winter Garden police said detectives are still investigating the shooting. According to authorities, police have identified Keith Lewayne Brown as a key witness. However, Brown refuses to cooperate with authorities and police are currently looking for him.
