Naked man arrested in Marion County, dashcam video shows

Suspect accused of damaging patrol car

OCALA, Fla. – A naked man, who was arrested in Ocala, urinated on a deputy's personal vehicle and punched and kicked a separate deputy's patrol car, according to the Marion County Sheriff's Office.

Andrew Humphries, 18, was involved in a traffic crash near South U.S. Highway 441 around 7:45 p.m. Wednesday and wandered away from the area, deputies said. Details on the crash, including whether or not Humphries was driving naked, were not released.

A witness told the Florida Highway Patrol that Humphries walked up to a vehicle at the Marion County Sheriff's Office South Multi-District Office, pulled the door handle off the vehicle and urinated on it when he couldn't get inside, the report said. Approximately $700 in damage was done to the vehicle, which belongs to a deputy.

A separate deputy found Humphries walking naked in the 8900 block of South Highway 441 at 7:56 p.m. Dash camera video from the encounter showed as Humphries trying to open the driver's side door.

"Normal people in their normal mind are not going to go and open the front driver door of a police car. In addition to that, you are absolutely naked, my man, another thing not normal," the deputy said.

Humphries denied taking any kind of narcotics. Seconds later, he starts screaming and kicking the patrol car, deputies said. Humphries kicked the car and pulled the cage, causing approximately $1,000 in damage, according to a news release. It's likely that the entire door on the vehicle will need to be replaced.

Humphries is charged with one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief and one felony count of criminal mischief - property damage of $1,000 or more. A separate FHP investigation is being conducted into the crash Humphries was involved in.
