Man found shot at Sanford apartments

SANFORD, Fla. – A man was injured late Thursday in a shooting at Sanford apartment complex, police said.

The shooting was reported just before midnight at the Mariners Village Apartments at 3202 S. Orlando Drive.

Sanford police said the victim was rushed to a hospital after he was found in the parking lot of the complex.

A short time later, a vehicle matching a description from witnesses was pulled over at an undisclosed location. Police said two men ran from the vehicle, but were later apprehended.

Investigators spent several hours gathering evidence at the apartment complex and towed away two vehicles with what appeared to be damage from the gunfire.

No details have been released about the victim or the men taken into custody.
