9-foot python found by power company in Eustis, deputies say

Python spotted in area of Royal Trails

EUSTIS, Fla. – A 9-foot python found by a local power company Saturday in Eustis has been relocated, the Lake County Sheriff's Office said.

The company, after spotting the python in the area of Royal Trails, contacted the Sheriff's Office and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission to capture it.

The Sheriff's Office said the snake was found and contained until FWC responders arrived.

FWC relocated the 9-foot 3-inch python to a local reptile facility, the Sheriff's Office said.
