Former Magic player Anthony Bowie accused of exposing himself to teacher

'You know you want this,' Bowie told victim, report shows

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Fla. – Former Orlando Magic player Anthony Bowie is accused of exposing himself to a fellow teacher during two separate incidents at a Seminole County elementary school, according to officials with the Sanford Police Department.

According to the incident report, a teacher told police that Bowie, 54, entered her classroom at Goldsboro Elementary School on Oct. 31 using his master key and asked the victim for a bottle of water. When the victim looked up she saw that Bowie had exposed his penis and was touching himself.

Bowie asked the victim, "Do you want to take a picture of it? and said "You know you want this," according to the report.

The second incident happened hours later on Oct. 31 when the victim said Bowie walked into her classroom again and exposed himself.

The victim told Bowie, "to put that junk away" and left the classroom, according to the report.

Police said there were no witnesses and children were not in the classroom at either incident.

Seminole County Public Schools spokesman Michael Lawrence said Bowie was placed on leave Nov. 7.

The victim told police that she did not want to press charges against Bowie.

Bowie taught physical education and had no previous disciplinary action through the school district, Lawrence said. He has been employed with the school system since 2010.

Bowie played for the Magic as a shooting guard from 1991-96. He retired from the NBA in 1998.
