Man stabbed in neck during argument at DeLand laundromat, police say

DELAND, Fla. – A man has been arrested after a fight that ended in a stabbing at a North DeLand laundromat, according to officials from the DeLand Police Department.

Police said Terrance Calkins, 51, and Donald Frenier, 50, were doing laundry at Boulevard Laundry at 1341 N. Woodland Blvd. around 1:30 p.m. when they got into an altercation and Calkins stabbed Frenier in the neck.

Frenier remains at Halifax Health Medical Center, where he is in critical but stable condition, officials said.

Calkins was arrested and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

Officials said DPD is actively investigating the incident.
