Deputies said the man who stabbed Rogers remained at the scene.

He said Rogers attacked him and his aunt, who was Rogers' ex-girlfriend, and he stabbed Rogers in self-defense, according to officials.

No charges have been filed, but an investigation is continuing.

Meanwhile, three hours earlier, a man was stabbed in an ongoing dispute between next-door neighbors, sheriff's officials said.

Deputies said Kwame Kennedy, 52, went onto his 51-year-old neighbor's property and stabbed him multiple times with a large kitchen knife.

The victim had stab wounds to his hips, chest, scapula and neck and was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital in Sanford, where he underwent surgery, according to officials.

Kennedy was arrested on charges of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.

He was released from jail early Thursday after posting $15,000 bail.
