3 hurt, cat killed in Altamonte Springs condominium fire

Cause of fire under investigation

ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, Fla. – Three people were injured and an animal is dead after a fire in Altamonte Springs, according to fire officials.

The Seminole County Fire Department said crews responded to a condominium fire on the 100 block of Maitland Avenue Thursday night.

Three people were taken to a nearby hospital, officials said. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

According to fire crews, a cat was killed in the fire.

Investigators said the fire was contained to one unit and no other units were damaged.
