‘Unexpected stowaway:’ Snake spotted on US Coast Guard helicopter in Florida Snake found on Jayhawk helicopter at US Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater

PINELLAS COUNTY, Fla. – The U.S. Coast Guard Air Station in Clearwater had an uninvited guest earlier this month when a snake slithered its way onto its helicopter.
“This unexpected stowaway was found napping on a Jayhawk tailwheel,” the U.S. Coast Guard Station Air Station Clearwater posted on Facebook on Feb. 11. “He reluctantly departed the scene when confronted.”
According to the Miami Herald , this snake was a two-foot corn snake.
Last year, another snake tried to make its way onto a plane. A boa constrictor was found in a traveler’s carry-on bag by the Transportation Security Administration at Tampa International Airport.
The traveler told TSA agents the snake, named Bartholomew, was her emotional support snake.
