Black bear breaks into Florida backyard, has a pool day FWC official relocating bear
PUNTA GORDA, Fla. – In Punta Gorda, a black bear broke into a backyard and started living its best life.
The bear made itself right at home. After a soak in the hot tub, he took the cushions off the patio furniture and laid down for a six-hour nap under the Lanai.
Landscapers spotted the bear and called for help, but neighbors say the furry trespasser seemed totally chill.
“He’s not looking for any trouble, that’s for sure,” said neighbor Lynn Martin.

Florida wildlife officials did eventually step in. They’re now working to safely relocate the bear.
