Congressman Cory Mills accused of threatening to expose private photos of Miss United States

Cory Mills dated Lindsey Langston for 4 years, report states

LAKE CITY, Fla. – The reigning Miss United States has accused U.S. Congressman Cory Mills of threatening to release private and intimate images.

According to documents, Lindsey Langston, 25, visited the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on July 14 to report threats made by Mills.

Langston, who won Miss United States 2024 and serves as a Republican State Committeewoman, said she and Mills began a romantic relationship in November 2021 before ending it in February 2025. During their time together, Langston lived with Mills at his New Smyrna Beach home while he frequently traveled between there and Washington, D.C., documents state.

Langston stated that when they met, Mills was still married but separated, and he told her his divorce would be finalized in May 2024.

The relationship ended after Langston saw news reports of Mills in a physical altercation with another woman in Washington, D.C. Langston confronted Mills, who denied the relationship, but she later found social media evidence showing Mills and the woman together, according to the report.

After moving back to Lake City, Langston said Mills repeatedly contacted her through various accounts, threatening to release nude photos and videos of her, including recordings of sexual acts they exchanged while apart. Langston also shared messages where Mills threatened harm to any future romantic partners she might have, the report states.

The threats reportedly began after Mills suspected Langston of seeing other people. Langston provided text and Instagram messages to authorities, which were entered into evidence.

According to the report, the last message Langston received from Mills was on June 12, stating, “I hope you hold your crown until the end.” Langston has since blocked his accounts and sought legal counsel.

News 6 contacted Lake County Commissioner Anthony Sabatini, who is representing Langston. Sabatini lost to Mills in the 2022 Republican primary for Florida’s 7th Congressional District.

“I believe it’s time for Mills to step down or be expelled from the House of Representatives.”

Mills issued a statement on the allegations:

“Anthony Sabatini is weaponizing the legal system to launch a political attack against the man who beat him in the primary, using his corporate legal office to push a narrative built on lies and flawed legal arguments - all to score political headlines.

We have not been made aware of any report or allegations from law enforcement or the alleged complainant.

These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District.

Out of respect for the legal process, I won’t comment further at this time. My team and I will fully cooperate to ensure the truth is made clear. I remain focused on serving my constituents and advancing America First policies.

I appreciate your understanding as we deal with this private matter and your support during time."

And Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee spokesperson Madison Andrus issued the following statement on the allegations.:

“The allegations levied against Cory Mills are serious and horrific. Mills has a long record of allegations of violence and lying that cannot be ignored. The people of Florida’s 7th Congressional District deserve to know the truth about who is representing them in Congress.”

Mills issued another statement on Thursday, which reads as follows:

“As a general rule, when you’re able to prepare an ex parte injunction— a one-sided attack— you’re going to lead with your absolute best evidence. In this case, the judge fully rejected the accusations and found them insufficient to support any of the allegations.

Once again, Anthony Sabatini, who was my primary opponent in 2022, should be fighting at the ballot box— which he lost to me— but instead, he appears more interested in weaponizing his judicial system against a fmr political opponent.

It is tragic the way he continues to use people to serve his political agenda of attacking me. And once again, he has turned up empty-handed, with nothing more than fake news in his latest round of baseless attacks.

He has not provided sufficient evidence, no facts to support these false claims, and has wasted the time and resources of our hard-working law enforcement officers with yet another politically motivated stunt for his new office.

We’ve seen this before, when President Trump was relentlessly targeted by political opponents with baseless accusations. The weaponization of the judicial system is an egregious affront to our democracy— and Sabatini should be ashamed for borrowing tactics from the radical left’s playbook. If political lawfare can be used against individuals like President Trump and myself, what does that mean for the average American when these injustices strike across the country?

Is Sabatini trying to be the next Michael Avenatti? He is certainly playing the part and now he is casting Ms. Langston in the role of the next Stormy Daniels. While the accusations are baseless, I sincerely hope he is not using his client as a sacrifice at the altar for his own political ambitions.

Breakups happen, but it’s truly tragic when a washed‑up politician drags someone else into his vendetta. I wish Ms. Langston well and genuine happiness.

I remain steadfast and committed to doing the work of serving my constituents. The people of Florida’s 7th District deserve a representative who puts them first— and that is exactly what I will continue to do.”
