Elkino Watson stabbed during argument
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of South Florida is mourning the loss of a former football player who was stabbed and killed over the weekend.
Tampa police say Elkino Watson, 23, died after being stabbed outside a club following an argument Sunday morning.
Another former player, Desmond Horne, was also seriously injured after a fight, but he is expected to recover.
Police say the attackers got away and so far have not released a suspect description.
In a statement, the school said Watson had a big heart and would be sorely missed.
